Your Rate Just Went Up: DashSharing Users Now Earn 11¢/kWh

DashSharing — 11¢/kWh

Everybody looks up at 11:11 and makes a wish.

Ours came true. Starting September 01, 2026, every DashSharing user earns 11¢ per kWh on every charge delivered at home — up from 10¢.

Same charger. Same driveway. Same plug-in you already do every night. Just more coming back to you.

What this actually means

The rate change is small on paper and meaningful over a year, because it applies to every single kWh you deliver — not a bonus tier, not a promotional window, not a first-year rate that quietly steps back down.

Here’s the math on the milestone most users care about. Your deposit is refunded once you’ve delivered 1,500 kWh. At the old rate, you earned $150 on the way there. At 11¢, you earn $165 — and your deposit still comes back in full.

After that, every kWh is yours. For a typical Canadian EV driver charging at home, that adds up to up to $1,000 a year, with no ceiling on what you can earn.

Why we can pay more

DashSharing is built on Canada’s Clean Fuel Regulations. Every kilowatt-hour you deliver to an electric vehicle at home displaces liquid fuel, and that displacement generates a compliance credit.

We handle the measurement, the reporting and the credit sale. You get paid in cash, by direct deposit, for electricity you were already going to use.

As the credit market has matured, our per-kWh economics improved. We could have kept the difference. We’d rather pay it to the people whose driveways make the network work.

What isn’t changing

  • No tiers, no ramps. 11¢ from your first kilowatt-hour to your ten-thousandth. No thresholds to unlock, no rate that drops once you hit a cap.

  • $0 hardware cost. The Level 2 charger itself costs you nothing.

  • Fully refundable deposit. Returned in full at 1,500 kWh delivered.

  • Lifetime warranty. On every DashSharing charger, for as long as you’re with us.

Already a user?

You don’t need to do anything. Your rate moves to 11¢ automatically on September 01, 2026, and you’ll see it reflected in your next payout.

Not a user yet? The Standard 40A and Ultra 48A programs are both live, both include the charger, and both now pay 11¢ per kWh.

Questions we’re expecting

Do I need to sign anything or re-enrol?

No. The new rate applies automatically to active users.

Does this change my deposit or my refund milestone?

No. Deposits and the 1,500 kWh refund milestone are unchanged. You just reach the refund having earned more along the way.

Will the rate change again?

Our rate tracks the value of the credits your charging generates. It has moved in one direction so far. We’ll always tell you in advance if that changes.

Is 11¢ the rate everywhere in Canada?

Yes. One flat national rate, regardless of province or utility.
