DashSharing Mobile App – Terms of Service
Effective Date: March 30, 2026
Welcome to the DashSharing Mobile App (the "App"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Member," or "User") and DashSharing ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App or participating in the DashSharing Program (the "Program"), you agree to these Terms.
1. THE DASHSHARING PROGRAM
The Program provides members with access to a DashSharing Smart Charger under a license agreement.
- Not a Sale: DashSharing does not sell EV chargers. We provide a license to use a DashSharing Smart Charger (the "Charger") at your designated residential address.
- Ownership: The Charger remains the exclusive property of DashSharing at all times.
- Tiers: Participants must select a tier (e.g., Standard or Ultra) which dictates the refundable security deposit and the rate of cash earnings.
2. REGISTRATION AND ELIGIBILITY
To participate in the Program, you must:
- Be a resident of Canada with a valid residential address.
- Register an account via the App with accurate and complete information.
- Provide consent for Site Authorization.
- Pay the required refundable security deposit associated with your chosen tier.
3. INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE
- Professional Installation: You are responsible for hiring a licensed electrician to install the Charger (Level 2, 240V, 40A requiring a 50A breaker) at your own expense.
- Compliance: Installation must follow the DashSharing Installation Guide and meet all local electrical codes.
- Responsibility: DashSharing is not liable for any damages, electrical issues, or property damage resulting from improper installation or maintenance by your chosen contractor.
4. CONNECTIVITY AND DATA REQUIREMENTS
- Continuous Wi-Fi/Ethernet: The Charger must remain continuously connected to the internet (via Wi-Fi or Ethernet) to transmit usage data.
- Offline Session Limit: If internet connectivity is lost, the Charger will permit a maximum of five (5) offline sessions. After this limit, the Charger will disable further use until the connection is restored.
- Data Integrity: DashSharing is not responsible for "lost sessions" or uncredited earnings caused by local network outages. Sessions not transmitted to our servers cannot be reconstructed or credited.
5. EARNINGS AND EARNINGS
- Earning Structure: Participants earn cash earnings for every kilowatt-hour (kWh) delivered. Rates are determined by your Program tier and increase as you reach lifetime consumption milestones.
- Payouts: Earnings are tracked in the App dashboard. Payouts can be requested once the accrued balance reaches the $100 minimum threshold.
- Disputes: Any discrepancies in earnings must be reported to support@dashsharing.ca within 30 days of the session.
6. SECURITY DEPOSITS AND REFUNDS
- Refund Eligibility: Your security deposit is refundable only when:
- The Charger has reached a cumulative total of 2,500 kWh of delivered energy, as verified by DashSharing systems; and
- The Charger is returned to DashSharing in good condition upon termination.
- Forfeiture: If you cancel your membership before reaching the 2,500 kWh milestone, your security deposit will be forfeited.
- Damage Deductions: We reserve the right to deduct the cost of repairs or replacement from your deposit for any damage beyond normal wear and tear.
7. TERMINATION AND EQUIPMENT RETURN
- Cancellation: Either party may terminate the Program membership at any time, with or without cause.
- Return Policy: Upon termination, you must return the Charger to DashSharing within fourteen (14) days.
- Non-Return Fee: Failure to return the Charger within the specified timeframe may result in a replacement fee equal to the full retail value of the unit ($599+ taxes).
8. PRIVACY
Your privacy is governed by our App Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection of:
- Geolocation Data: To verify the Charger's installation site.
- Usage Data: Energy consumption (kWh) and charging patterns to calculate earnings.
- Technical Data: Network status and hardware health. DashSharing does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
9. PROHIBITED USES
You agree not to:
- Tamper with, open, or attempt to repair the Charger hardware.
- Relocate the Charger to an address other than the one approved in your application without written consent.
- Use the App or Charger for any fraudulent or illegal activity.
- Assign your rights under the Program to any other individual or entity.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The App and Charger are provided "as is." DashSharing shall not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, loss of data or loss of profit) arising out of the use or inability to use the Program services.
11. AMENDMENTS
DashSharing reserves the right to modify these Terms, including earning rates and Program milestones. We will provide 30 days' notice of any material changes via the App or email.
